Virtual ICED 2020

11. - 30.6.2020 POUZE ON-LINE

Virtual ICED 2020 Begins!

Haven't registered yet? There's still time for you to join your peers and experts from around the globe for this virtual learning experience.

Virtual ICED 2020 is right around the corner and we're excited for you to be part of this year's innovative and informative virtual conference! If you haven't already registered, we encourage you to do so today and reserve your virtual seat for a phenomenal lineup of live, recorded, and on-demand sessions to further enhance your professional learning.

"Not having to travel to Australia, although that was a major selling point for a lot of us, is also a greener alternative. So, there are a lot of positives that come out of this conference as well in terms of accessibility and the ability to see much more content that would not be readily available in the face to face conference." - Jerel Calzo

Hear more from Anthea Fursland and Jerel Calzo, 2020 Scientific Program Committee Co-Chairs, on what you can expect when you register for Virtual ICED 2020 by watching this short interview conducted by Social Media Committee Co-Chair, Millie Plotkin.

The conference kicks off on Thursday, June 11 with the Opening & Keynote Address delivered by Janet Treasure PhD, FAED titled, "Courting Debates and Narrowing the Divides in the Eating Disorders Field", where she will speak on the contribution of the last 40 years to eating disorders and the use of evidence-based practice in eating disorders treatment. Be sure to set your reminder to tune in live at the session time noted: 2:00 a.m. EDT United States | 7:00 a.m. United Kingdom | 4:00 p.m. Sydney. If you miss the first live session, we've added an additional time slot that will feature a live Q&A session! The Keynote Session II will take place at the following time: 9:30 a.m. EDT United States | 2:30 p.m. United Kingdom | 11:30 p.m. Sydney.

Our first plenary session will kick off later that day with the Biology Plenary: Thinking Outside of the Box: Transdiagnostic Neurobiological Approaches to Research and Implications for Treatment. All plenary sessions will also feature a second live session with time for Q&A to further the discussion on the topics presented as well as provide an additional time slot that can accommodate more time zones.

All sessions will be available for viewing shortly after the live sessions and can be accessed at any time for your convenience, and from the comfort of your home. Devote either one hour a day, or view everything all at once! Virtual ICED 2020 allows you to participate at your desired pace. View the schedule-at-a-glance for more details on all the sessions that will be available to you.

If you haven't yet registered for Virtual ICED 2020, we invite you to do so today and join us for this exciting and educational experience. There's still time to reserve your virtual seat for what will be the largest ICED conference to date!

P.S. - Did you forget to add CE/CME credits to your registration? The virtual platform allows you to earn up to 40 credits! Further your professional development with unlimited access to educational sessions and workshops.

Catch Up on the AED Lockdown Blog Series

With the outbreak of COVID-19 and approximately a third of the world's population currently living under lockdown conditions, we truly are living through one of the most extraordinary events of our lifetimes. While we are all finding our way as we adjust to this 'new normal' (on top of managing a myriad of emotions that this pandemic is bringing up for us collectively and individually), we know that the experience of being 'in lockdown' is presenting a unique set of challenges for people with eating disorders, and therefore our AED community. Over the coming weeks, I will be sharing conversations I've had with members of the eating disorders community on how this global crisis has impacted their lives and their work. My hope is that these conversations will provide points of solidarity, insight, hope, and courage as we move through and forward. Catch up on the series here.
